I combined two passions of mine;
designing & Doc Martens shoes !
I had these shoes in white, they where a special valentines edition and came ONLY in white.
The minute i saw them i knew i wanted them, but i wanted them in black!
So i painted them with Angelus leatherpaint et voila, here is the result :

It’s a long process to custom paint leather shoes.
Because one needs to keep in mind that the leather has to endure a lot when used.
So i used special leatherpaint after i thoroughly cleaned and sanded the leather.
This is the result of the seventh pair of Doc Martens that i upcycled:

Because one needs to keep in mind that the leather has to endure a lot when used.
So i used special leatherpaint after i thoroughly cleaned and sanded the leather.
On this shoe, among other brands of paint, i used some Jacquard Lumiére effect paint.
This particular Lumiére adds a beautiful golden effect to the leather,
but its hard to capture the effect in a picture,…
For instance; i also used the Lumiére on the petals of the ‘flowers’,
but in the pictures the petals seem mostly just orange,.
So keep that in mind when you look at the pictures!
This is the result of the fourth pair of Doc Martens that i upcycled:
