My latest project:
Custom painted Dr. martens boots > Fifth pair.

I combined two passions of mine;
painting/designing & Doc Martens shoes !

It’s a long process to custom paint leather shoes.
Because one needs to keep in mind that the leather has to endure a lot when used.
So i used special leatherpaint after i thoroughly cleaned and sanded the leather.

This is the result of the fifth pair of Doc Martens that i upcycled:

On this shoe, among other brands of paint, i used some Jacquard Lumiére effect paint.
This particular Lumiére adds a beautiful golden effect to the leather,
but its hard to capture the effect in a picture,…
For instance; i also used the Lumiére on the petals of the ‘flowers’,
but in the pictures the petals seem mostly just orange,.
So keep that in mind when you look at the pictures!
